Item TABLOID FOODSPHERE(DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA STUDIES KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY LAHORE,, 2022-12-05) TEHREEM AYAZThe main goal of this tabloid was to produce a four-page weekly food tabloid in Lahore called "Foodsphere", where news reports provide in-depth coverage of different food blogs, cuisines and trends. Food is essential for human life and it's fundamental to the human experience. With the rapid development of social networks, mobile networks and the Internet of things (IoT), people commonly upload, share and record images of food, recipes, cooking videos and reviews that lead to data from large scale foods. In recent years, the food industry has rapidly increased and is now one of the most income generating industry. This study aimed to discuss the factors that results in Lahoris food obsession and why they spend so much on it. According to a survey, Lahoris spend 40% of their income on food. This article revealed important information and news about food trends and explained its evolution and its important role in Lahori society. Finally, this article explained how food blogs affect any eatery and what opportunities and consequences it creates. The main focus was on food related info and evolvement of international cuisines as well.Item GAME CHANGERS(DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA STUDIES KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY LAHORE,, 2022-12-05) MARYAM MOHIUDDINThe aim is to produce a praiseworthy tabloid named “Game Changers” with the news of Female athletes and the hardships they go through to achieve their dreams. It will help to reduce the under representation of female athletes in print media and in media generally as well. Also, because of the sexualized manner in which female athletes are portrayed, they suffer from poor representation and stereotypical remarks, this discouragement of female athletes is problematic for athletes who dream about representing Pakistan to win medals nationally and internationally. It will focus on the fact that girls should be applauded for their talent and hard work rather than how they look and behave. It will also focus on the mindset that does not let women succeed in their career choices.Item DOCUMENTARY ON MEN OBJECTIFICATION OF DARK COMPLEXION(DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA STUDIES KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY LAHORE,, 2022-12-05) ANOSHAY KHAN & MARIAM ZIAThis research will focus on how not only women but men also being objectifying for having dark skin tones. In this research we will discuss about the obsession of our society with fair complexion and how dark complexion being bullied for their entire life, not only women but men are also victim to this dilemma. Dark Complexion is something which every person in Pakistan fears of. This study will focus on how dark complexion comes in a way of relationships, career and mental health in a man’s life. Society has set beauty standards by declaring light complexion the highest in the rank, the fairer you are, the prettier you will be considered. The role of media in promoting the fairness and creating the beauty standards are at its peak. Skin tone should be considered as the beauty symbol which media is promoting.Item A THRILLER FILM ON ANGER MANAGEMENT ISSUE(DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA STUDIES KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY LAHORE,, 2022-12-05) JANNAT AWAN & SEHAR IJAZFeelings of extreme anger that cannot be controlled can be seen among children as well as adults, these aggression issues can be a cause of anxiety, depression, an addiction or any other mental health issues. Anger issues are often neglected and thought as a part of normal behavior whereas it is not, if such type of outburst occurs and is not monitored or the individual is unable to control it then it can lead to dangerous situations, in some cases it can also lead to criminal convictions. So it is necessary to monitor your child’s behavioral patterns if something unusual happens and parents should be concerned about it, So that they can engage the child with anger management activities and therapies to treat it from the root. Preventative measures should be taken at the initial stage so that the problem can be controlled as early as possible. our society is experiencing a difficult time where women are not safe on the roads, rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, torture, kidnapping etc. have become mainstream subjects of this era, keeping that in mind it should be considered important to have a check and balance on your child so that he/she doesn’t grows up as a harmful individual for the society. If people with such abnormal behavioral patterns are encouraged to get themselves treated then it can bring a huge change in the society, this way women will be able to feel safe and step out of the house at any hour confidently. It is necessary to protect your own self and the people around, Spreading awareness regarding such issues must be considered important.Item BREAK THE SILENCE(DEPARTMENT OF MEDIA STUDIES KINNAIRD COLLEGE FOR WOMEN UNIVERSITY LAHORE,, 2022-12-15) AMNA SHAHZADDomestic violence is the issue that has been scaring women and children since forever. They have been trained in a way that they have to tolerate abuse other than breaking the silence. This documentary is to educate people about why there is a need to break the silence and what is battered women syndrome and what are its effects. We have tried to aware people about the psychological state of victims who tolerate violence and any kind of abuse. Teachings of Islam about domestic violence and abuse and, we have talked about the legal laws and psychological help one can get. We have conducted expert interviews in these domains. Moreover, we have portrayed what mental and physical injuries can take place from domestic abuse and how harmful this can be for a nation. Our documentary will give the guidance about what psychological and legal help one can have. What a battered women syndrome a mental state can turn into a harmful thing and can destroy generations and generation. We have discussed the false myths about Islam and domestic violence. The project is on social issue which needs to be highlighted and to educate people about the devastating effects of battered women syndrome.
